Mount Olive has earned a berth in the NCAA Division II Baseball Tournament in each of Lancaster's first five years on the coaching staff.

Lancaster, who resides in LaGrange, is a full-time instructor at UMO. He and his wife, Heather, have enjoyed spending their summers in Morehead City for many years and are excited to become a part of such a great community.

During his playing days, Lancaster was a starting pitcher and second baseman during his freshman season before transitioning to the team's starting left fielder for his final three years. He was the 2006 Conference Carolinas (then Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference) Freshman of the Year and was a three-time All-Conference selection. He was named MVP of the 2010 Conference Carolinas Tournament and was named to the All-Tournament Team at the 2008 NCAA Division II National Finals as the Trojans won the National Championship.
