EDENTON, N.C.---Monday night's contest between the Morehead City Marlins (12-18, 1-3) and the Edenton Steamers (23-8, 3-1) has been cancelled, creating an opportunity to play two seven-inning contests on Tuesday night. The original game, scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. EST, has been moved forward to 6:00 p.m. accomodating the double header slate. The Marlins are 0-4 this season against Edenton, this being their second-such game cancelled due to inclement weather.
The MHC Marlins enter a daunting week with back-to-back games against the Edenton Steamers on Tuesday night, then following one scheduled off day travel to Peninsula on Thursday. The next game at Big Rock Stadium can be seen Sunday night starting at 7:05 p.m. as the Marlins play host to the Edenton Steamers.
